Here we go again!! After a 1 day-vacant from our Intrams, we're back to have some fun! OK, so let's start!!
Before I go on, I forgot to tell you last time that my Badminton racket was broken because of my classmate. I think everything will be OK, I said, 'cause I am just going to tell my parents that I broke it because of playing hard, but in return, I won my first game..^^ And here it is again, fixed and ready to smash everything on it's way!! XD
When I arrived, I was wearing my uniform already so no more hassle dressing up. I thought that this day was just a day for me to cheer but it turn out that I will play today. With all the cheering I had done just before I play, I felt exhausted. And whoa! It's the championship of badminton today! I suddenly felt nervous and started to sweat. When they call on the players of Badminton Singles Boys of the Championship, I suddenly ran to the Gym. When the umpire(?) called us to be on the court, we started warming up. By the way, my opponent was Mark Chelex Zaldua(not sure about the spelling), who was the champion last year. When we started warming up, I can say the he is really good. I almost missed all of his shots because of my nervous breakdown. When the game finally started, I said to myself, "This is it! Game na!"
The 1st set of the championship game started normally. Of course, just what majority suspected, he was leading. But when I got the hang of playing with him, I scored a little bit closer to him now. I discovered that he was putting the bird all the way behind me. When I positioned myself at the right spot, I'm sure that he was having a hard time scoring again. When I hit the shuttle cock quite hard, I tied our score. It was now 6 - 6. The game was just a race up to a score of 7 so now, we had a deuce. The game was just a race-to-2 game. When he scored again, he was at an advantage. But then again, I catched up and another deuce emerged. The score now was 7 - 7. he scored again but I, once again, catched up to him. The score now was 8 - 8. When he scored once again, I was panicking. And when he hit the shuttle cock, I thought it will be an outside one but I was wrong. It was an inside shot, and the 1st set ended with the score of 8 - 10, in favor of him.
Now, the 2nd set started. If he win again, that game will end and he will be declared as the Champion. We played with all of our skills and I think I really put on a great match. We did a long rally with all the drive shots, smash etc. The same thing happened again, our score was tied up, 8 - 8. When he scored again, I was at the stage of panic again. I sweat more and my hand was wet as well. When he served and I picked it up, we did a good rally but at the last shot, I was out of balance and I missed the shot. I lost now. But it was ok for me because I think I made a really nice entertainment for all the watchers of the Championship game. I left the gym with a smile on my face and I felt really good after the game. Though I lost, I was still happy 'cause I know in every game, there is a winner and there is a loser, and that was me..^^
This 2nd day of Intrams was pretty nice as well. Though I lost in my game today, I didn't feel upset because I really do enjoy this Intramurals :D
