This is it!! The first day of CNSHS' Intramurals '08!
When I woke up this morning, I got really excited! This doesn't happen normally because usually, I am not that energetic yet after waking up. But this day was different. This day doesn't happen everyday. Well, this day is the first day of our Intramurals!!
I came to school wearing our regular uniform because our real uniform for the Intrams is not yet with us. When I arrived at school, my classmates and other groupmates for this Intrams were already in our quarters. They welcomed me with a smile and I greeted them with a smile as well. After a while, our respective advisers were calling us for the uniforms are being distributed. When I received my uniform, I was so happy because I chose the correct size!!! Yiipee!!!
I waited for a while before I changed my clothes. I went to the TRC to changed my clothes there. After changing, I went back to our quarters and waited for the sign that we should go to the Gym for the Opening Ceremony.
When the program started, all of us were shouting. You could see clearly the competition between the 4 teams: Green Acer, Yellow Asus, Red Macintosh(That's us!) and Blue Vaio. The team was chosen according to year level meaning, Freshmen are in the Green Acer, etc. When various personalities(whoa!) had done speaking, the cheer dance competition started. The Green Acer's cheer was ok and the Yellow Asus' was also ok. When it is our time to perform, all of us were shouting. They performed their cheer really well 'cause you can see the perfect coordination between the dancers. Our's was done and it was the Blue Vaio's turn. Theirs was really good. I became quite nervous because they are really a competition for us. When all the cheer dance were done. It's time for the Mr./Ms. Physique. Our candidates were Ria and Aaron. They put off a good competition as well as the other teams did.
When it was the time for the announcement of winners in the Cheer Dance competition and the Mr./Ms. Physique, we got really nervous. In the Cheer Dance, the 4th placer was Green Acer and the 3rd placer was Yellow Asus. Whew, what a relief!! Now we know that we're either at 2nd place or at 1st place. When the announcer is somewhat making is nervous, both of the remaining teams shouted the other team for the 2nd place. And when the announcer said the 2nd placer, we all shouted!! It's the Blue Vaio!! Meaning, we're the champion for the Cheer dance Competition! Go Red Macintosh!!! Well, it's time for the announcement of winners in the Mr./Ms. Physique 2008. We're quite confident that we'll not get the last place. The announcement of winners started. At 4th place was the Green Acer while at 3rd place, teh Blue Vaio. Wow!! We're either at the 1st place or at the 2nd place, AGAIN!! When they gave as a little thrill, both of the teams shouted again. And after a while, they announced the 2nd placer, it was us. But it's ok because we're leading at the score board:
Green Acer - 30
Yellow Asus - 50
Red Macintosh - 55
Blue Vaio - 45
Finally, the opening ceremony was finished. It's time to show off our skills!! XD
The first games started at 12:45 PM. Whew!! And I will play at that time!!! Whoa!! Nervous breakdown!! Need to warm up...!!Oh shoot!! My whole body is shaking!! What will I do?!??! But then, the game should start. So, I forced myself to relax. Be calm. Be calm. The game started. My opponent was a first year student. I know that it would be shameful if I will lose to him. The first set started. I was missing shots because just like what I have said, my whole body was shaking. When it was his game point already, I lost control of the racket and miss the shot so he won the first set. At the second set, I knew his style of playing. He was not a power player 'cause he just like playing around me. When I'm at the right side of the court, he will shoot the shuttle cock to the left and vice versa. But I'm not the same as he is. I'm a power player and I use my strength for smashes. But in this game, I didn't do any smash at all. I knew his technique at the half of the 2nd set. And when I knew his weakness already, I used it against him and I won in the 2nd set. The third set started very fast. And I finished it fast as well. Just as I said a while ago, he was not a power player but more of a mindful player so it was somewhat easy to defeat him.
Whew!! First player done!!
This first day of Intramurals was great for our team. We had won most of our games today. I hoped that the next day of this Intrams '08 will be as great as this was..!! Good luck to us Red Macintosh!!! Let's do everything that we can!! Time to fight!!
*We'll have the regular classes tomorrow because barangay officials and Koreans will visit our school and check on our Computer labs. Bummer!!*
